Flexible acrylic-cement membrane, highly deformable and perfectly waterproof for coating and waterproofing structures and handworks which are in temporary direct or semi-permanent contact with water. It is used for waterproofing terraces, shower cabins, swimming-pools, tanks, sinks, canals, foundations. We suggest to use it as coating for the protection of concrete elements exposed to atmospheric agents or to drain cracked plasters.
Guainaflex is the technical solution to grant the water impermeability both with direct and indirect load of cement handworks and plumbing systems. The excellent support adherence, the high flexibility and impermeability allow the creation of continuous, flexible and waterproof coating that grant protective and retaining interventions against water with high resistance and duration.

  • Pour component B in a proper container and add, little by little, blending latex and powder mixing with a blending drill at low speed.
  • Do not apply over bituminous sheath or wood, plastic, metal, rubber, chalk supports.
  • Foundations which are not perfectly plain need to be trimmed at least 7 days before laying the sheath; verify that the support is seasoned enough.
  • Only apply on clean, resistant, seasoned, dry and compact supports.
  • Respect any pre-existing technical joint on the structure applying a proper elastic band.
  • For corners and edges make molding shapes using resistant cement mortars with proper mechanical resistance and apply a specific elastic band.
  • Before laying the material, remove any spot of varnish, polish etc…
  • Apply the product with 2 hands waiting 24 hours from the first laying. Create a final depth not lower than 2mm. A thicker depth made in a single application or spreading one layer upon the other in a short time, might reduce the filming capacity of polymers in the deepest layers. This might damage the coating resistance.
  • Dip the glass fiber net (resistant to alkali) with 4×5 mm mesh (150 gr) between the first and the second layer. For critical conditions during the application, we suggest to use a polypropylene net with a honeycomb mesh instead of a glass fiber.
  • When you set the product up, protect it for at least 48 hours from rain, sun, freeze. Temperatures lower than +5 °C and higher than +35 °C during the 48 hours that follow the lay up, may modify the final mechanical performance, damage the coating waterproofing and duration.
  • If capillary rising or humid foundations show up, do not leave the Guainaflex treated surface exposed to sun. Heat might cause water vapor with consequent membrane lifting.
