The Lavelast Contact is a ready to use, paste special-based resins and fillers. The product spreads like a traditional painting, when it is dry to form a continuous film very tenacious and resilient and well clinging to support. The Lavelast Contact retains an exceptional degree of elasticity to both high and low temperatures and long-lasting.
It is also waterproof, while retaining sufficient vapour permeability and is used as a protective or decorative painting in all those cases where you can get cracking and movement of support. After proper preparation, even on new and old bituminous sheaths, is accessible with caution.
Preparation of support
The Lavelast Contact grips on any support as long as the same is not dusty, brittle or presence of grease, oil, etc.
On iron support before applying you should treat with anti- rust.
On wooden support make sure that it is well dry and dusted.
Plastic support: on the surface a bit rough with sandpaper and dusting.
On no dusty, no absorbent support, clean well with alcohol or solvent.
On plastered walls it is recommended to apply with Murisol K (solvent insulation) very diluted and then two coats of Lavelast Contact consistently stretched to form a continuous film.
Application
Waterproofing horizontal (bituminous sheathing)
After you have properly prepared the support, spread Lavelast Contact without dilution, with roller or spatula evenly. After 24 hours apply a second coat and after 24 hours, a third coat. Consumption expected 1.5 kg/m2.
To obtain a more effective and robust waterproofing, shortly after paving the first hand (or part thereof) spread the fabric F3 (non woven polyester fiber) before the Lavelast Contact dryes.
Be careful to overlap the various bands of fabric at least 2-3 cm.
Brush up on with a brush, roller or mops.
Average consumption expected 2.3 kg/m2.
Vertical waterproofing (plastered surfaces or coated)
After properly prepared the support with Murisol K apply two coats of Lavelast Contact 24 hours apart from each other. The first coat dilute with 10% water, and the second with the 5% water. The best finish is obtained with a hair roller or brush bristle . It forms a smooth or slightly wavy with very light skin. Average consumption 0.5 kg/m2. You will get a smooth and shiny-satin. Do not apply the Lavelast Contact on wet or moist products, nor with temperatures below +0 °C.
Store the product cool, but protected from frost. If the facade there are crackles or cracks, you should open the crack, caulk with adhesive and apply a coat of Lavelast Contact with F3 fabric width 10 cm.
